Happy Weekend and My little R&R Phuket Holiday

Remember I was pretending to go to the beach at my apartment? Well, I am going to jump into the white sandy beach and clear blue water of Phuket next week for real. ;D

My husband and I award ourselves a little getaway, so we can really use our snorkeling gears and take some much needed R&R.

I am just happy to hop on a plane and land in any place where I can just do nothing.

So, I will be away for next week, hopefully recharged and be able to tackle Christmas full on. ;P

But don't worry, I won't let you hanging. ;D Fabulous giveaway from Yokomono next week who's doing a sale with her shop right now. Go over and check it out. ;D

Happy Thanksgiving!

Ok, it's not a Hong Kong Holiday, but I feel like celebrating nonetheless. Truth is I have some orders I need to fill, so I guess I'd keep my blog post short and sweet. ;D

You know, I actually saw some wild turkeys once, on a Thanksgiving day to boost. I was staying with my aunt in California then, and we took a walk outside, and right in front of us, some turkeys just ran pass us. That's one of the most memorable Thanksgiving I've ever had.

BTW, my good friend Angie of Pangea is doing a Black Friday sale, 20% off refund through paypal. ;D There is just a bit time left for online Christmas shopping, don't miss it.

YellowGoat Shop

About

If you wonder why Yellowgoat, it's simple, because it's my name. ;D

Yellowgoat comes from the 2 Chinese characters in my name, when pronounce, it can sound like it means Yellow (last name) and Goat (first name), so this is how it came from.

The person behind this blog and the jewelry shop is a female, who's taken. I got married in Aug 2008, and one thing lead to another, I started learning a bit metalsmithing and jewelry making, then instantly I knew I want to do this for a very long time, and will be perfectly happy and enjoy it thoroughly.

Believe it or not, I used to be an animator, then became an local Ad TV producer, which has nothing to do with jewelry, but when I told my friends and family jewelry is what I'm heading, nobody was actually surprised, because I always get an eye for it since I was a teen, and managed to picked the really unique pieces that people looked, praised and asked.

My philosophy for my jewelry and this blog, is to bring happiness to others. I hope to share the joy of creating and finding beautiful things to all the readers and customers.

So, I am Yellowgoat.

(Lots of people ask what my "real" name is, if translate literally by meaning, my Chinese name is actually "King of ocean". ;D, but I go by Petula for a very long time, if you insist.)
