Merry Christmas

I am so sorry for the lack of update here. I am still struggling with a bad cold, and my husband got infected by me too, he pretty much lost his voice. So this Christmas we are just going to stay very cozy at home, and rent some movie and consume lots of med and really just rest, hopefully we will be back to our normal selves soon.

In the mean time, I wish you all a Great Christmas! May all your wishes come true. ;D

Update

I am sorry for the no update for the past few days. I am really not well, I am constantly nauseated, dizzy and with a not going away headache. After I managed to fill some orders, I need to just rest. My laptop is giving me more headache and I can't stare at it for more then 10 mins. I had to close my shop for the time being.

I am determine to seek doctor's help today. The regular pain killer is doing nothing for me.

I hope you have better time then I do. If you are not feeling too swell like me, enjoy this set of colorful abstract print by Erik Natzke currently on sale. Maybe the bright color can cheer you up a little bit. It sure did for me. ;D

I am back ;D

Sawadeeka...I am back from my vacation. I am delighted to report that all we did were spa, swimming, eating and more eating. ;D We now have to start dieting thanks to all the hotel room services. My husband's most memorable line for this trip is: I think I don't need food for the next 2 hours....

We didn't take a camera, since we've both been to Thailand for a few times, and this is the only picture I took with my camera phone. While waiting for the plane to take off, I drew my husband a tattoo about our trip with a ball pen, with lots of waves from the Andaman sea and coconut trees. I know, I am one of those lucky girls who can draw stuff on husband's arm. ;D

I am hoping I can resume to normal with posting within a couple of days. A week long of Internet free living is a very refreshing break, but many things to catch up once you're back.

Also, there'll be no giveaways for the rest of the month, I will resume them next year.

As much as I love my R&R trip, it's great to be back!

Happy Weekend and My little R&R Phuket Holiday

Remember I was pretending to go to the beach at my apartment? Well, I am going to jump into the white sandy beach and clear blue water of Phuket next week for real. ;D

My husband and I award ourselves a little getaway, so we can really use our snorkeling gears and take some much needed R&R.

I am just happy to hop on a plane and land in any place where I can just do nothing.

So, I will be away for next week, hopefully recharged and be able to tackle Christmas full on. ;P

But don't worry, I won't let you hanging. ;D Fabulous giveaway from Yokomono next week who's doing a sale with her shop right now. Go over and check it out. ;D

YellowGoat Shop

About

If you wonder why Yellowgoat, it's simple, because it's my name. ;D

Yellowgoat comes from the 2 Chinese characters in my name, when pronounce, it can sound like it means Yellow (last name) and Goat (first name), so this is how it came from.

The person behind this blog and the jewelry shop is a female, who's taken. I got married in Aug 2008, and one thing lead to another, I started learning a bit metalsmithing and jewelry making, then instantly I knew I want to do this for a very long time, and will be perfectly happy and enjoy it thoroughly.

Believe it or not, I used to be an animator, then became an local Ad TV producer, which has nothing to do with jewelry, but when I told my friends and family jewelry is what I'm heading, nobody was actually surprised, because I always get an eye for it since I was a teen, and managed to picked the really unique pieces that people looked, praised and asked.

My philosophy for my jewelry and this blog, is to bring happiness to others. I hope to share the joy of creating and finding beautiful things to all the readers and customers.

So, I am Yellowgoat.

(Lots of people ask what my "real" name is, if translate literally by meaning, my Chinese name is actually "King of ocean". ;D, but I go by Petula for a very long time, if you insist.)
